SafeAssignment, NU’s Electronic Plagiarism Checking Tool

12:00 pm to 1:00 pm

Location:  NUL Forum Room

SafeAssignment is a Plagiarism detection tool that is part of the Course Management System. It is available to ALL faculty to use in any of their courses.  SafeAssignment prepares a “Plagiarism Report” in 24 hours or less. The report indicates which text is similar to text found on the Internet, in papers stored in the vendor’s database, and in papers previously submitted by NU students.

Mark Sheldon and Brian Nielsen will review their use Safe Assignment in the context of a course. Brian will also share information about handling electronic assignments more generally in the CMS.
